Luan trained as a voice teacher at the Central School of Speech and
Drama (M.A.Voice and Speech) and as an actor at the Webber Douglas
Academy of Dramatic Art in London and the École Jacques Lecoq in Paris.
Luan is a guest lecturer at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, and
teaches on the MA Voice Studies Course and others at the Central
School of Speech and Drama. Furthermore, Luan teaches voice and text
at the Guildford School of Acting and has taught at East 15 as well as
with various theatre companies.
Luan is a consultant voice and presentation coach and works
with private clients ranging from those in politics and
business to medicine, law, media, and academia. He regularly
coaches of Members of Parliament.
As an actor, Luan worked on the stage for more than a decade
in the UK, Canada, New Zealand and Ireland, and has also
successfully produced a number of plays in London and on tour
through his production company Purple Fish Productions.
He is a voice over and spoken word artist and has recorded
commercials, talking books, audio descriptions, documentaries,
language aides, film dubbing and more besides for such companies
as the BBC, LBC, CBC, Visiontext and more.
